Tom has held senior strategic sourcing, procurement and supply chain leadership positions with Novartis, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Bristol Myers Squibb, working across complex international environments spanning Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and emerging markets. Alongside responsibility for procurement transformation, supplier strategy and operational governance, his work has focused on building high-performing international teams through culture, behaviours and pragmatic leadership, as well as through effective processes, systems and controls. He has also led programmes focused on innovation, capability development and commercial value creation across complex outsourced supply chains.

At Bristol Myers Squibb, Tom also spent time within the Commercial organisation as Global Programme Lead for the reassessment and commercialisation planning of a previously challenged immunotherapy brand, working across functions including Medical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Forecasting and Marketing.

More recently, he led the Life Sciences practice at specialist procurement, operations and supply chain consultancy 4C Associates, advising organisations on procurement transformation, supplier strategy, operational governance and commercial capability.

Alongside his advisory work, Tom writes and presents on topics relating to procurement, supply chain management and operational capability within early-stage life science companies. Earlier in his career, he also wrote extensively on marketing procurement and agency management, and served as Chair of the Joint Industry Panel on Public Relations Procurement.
